Mayo 1-12 : Kerry 1-10
21 March 2010
It was only March 21st but a glorious summer type day in Tralee. Before the match opinions on Mayo's chances against an improving Kerry were mixed. But a tremendous team performance, particularly in the second half, saw us high tail it out of Kerry with smiling faces, a cherished scalp and, most important, another 2 league points in the bag.

. And finally, how Kerry must hate a 1-12 scoreline !!!
.....for the record this is what we wrote (scroll down) earlier this week....
"Next Sunday we are away to an improving Kerry. As we know our defensive pattern lies between 1-9 to 1-12 so far, while Kerry's defense has a very similar look conceding 1-9 in 2 matches and 1-12 in the other 2. ...... Based on all that could be a tight game ... but who knows !!!
Well now we know and happy to report ...we conceded 1-10 and Kerry conceded 1-12!!
Kerry must be sick of that 1-12 score as this is the third match they have lost in the NFL (Dublin , Cork and Mayo) and by co-incidenece they have conceded exactly that score each time. (and the Dublin v Kerry result was exactly the same as today at 1-12 : 1-10)
Other NFL Div 1 matches this weekend
Cork 2-13 : Dublin 2-06
Galway 1-15 : Tyrone 0-14
Monaghan 1-16 : Derry 0-12
